URAHARA KISUKE
Urahara Kisuke, formerly known as the 12th Captain of the Goutei 13, is the creator of the three modsouls - Rin Rin, Cloud, and Nova. Mod Souls are "Artificial souls created to fight hollows. These mod-souls would use the bodies of deseaced humans. Mod-souls each had improved powers such as arm strength, leg strength, etc. Mod-souls were destroyed because a council of shinigami ruled them as immoral.Kon was one of the very few mod-souls to survive" (credit). His purpose in creating these mod souls was to help Ichigo and his friends grow stronger and help each other build their team's trust and reliability. And why exactly did he make mod-souls and not just set up traps for Ichigo and his friends? Mod souls have no spirit energy so Ichigo nor his friends could sense what Rin Rin, Cloud, and Nova were.
